The Hadith of Jibreel — Defining Iman

The six pillars of Iman were defined by the Prophet himself when Jibreel came in human form. Ibn Kathir explains that all of Allah's Prophets and Messengers are to the believers truthful and righteous, and believers do not differentiate between any of them.

Belief in Qadar — The Sixth Pillar

Qadar is the sixth and most nuanced pillar of Iman. Ibn Kathir explains that 54:49 was revealed specifically to refute those who denied divine decree. Allah recorded the measurements of all creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and earth.
